EASTON — The Talbot County Free Library’s yearlong centennial celebration will conclude with a lively evening of songs from the 1920s, performed by the acclaimed local group Ampersand.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the main meeting room of the Easton Branch.
Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary beverages and light refreshments beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by Ampersand’s performance at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $20, available online. Seating is limited, and only 75 tickets will be sold.
Ampersand is known for its spirited performances of classic American music, featuring rich vocal harmonies and the warm, rhythmic sounds of traditional instruments.
“Ampersand has performed at a number of our events over the last few years,†said Emilie Knud-Hansen, former president of the Friends of the Library and lead coordinator for the event. “Their ability to recreate music from the past is sure to be another crowd pleaser in recognition of the Library’s founding in 1925.â€
