DENTON — The annual town of Denton Christmas parade took place the evening of Thursday, Dec. 5. With a route down Fifth to Market Street, parade goers lined the streets to view performances by On Your Toes dance studio and the North Caroline High School bands.
Big trucks — including a cement mixer from Chaney Enterprise laden with presents spilling out of the mixer’s chute and fire trucks — were crowd favorites of the children.
Santa arrived at the end of the parade, pulled in a horse-drawn carriage from which he and Mrs. Claus alighted in front of the courthouse to greet excited children and view the multiple tree lightings on the county courthouse green.
