EASTON — Easton’s annual holiday parade will give residents the chance to get into a festive mood this weekend, along with a litany of other upcoming events across Talbot County.
The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Saturday near the Talbot Town Shopping Center. According to the , it will include a sold-out slate of floats, local marching bands and more. Before the parade, kids can greet Santa in Thompson Park beginning at 5:30 p.m., and a tree lighting will be held at 6 p.m.
One day prior, families can spend their Friday evening in Easton with Frosty the Snowman at For All Seasons’ fifth annual Frosty’s Holiday Village. Photos with Frosty, hot cocoa, food, inflatables and more are all free for people to enjoy from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Anchor Church on Goldsborough Street.
Other towns like St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and Oxford have special holiday events, too.
In Oxford on Friday, the town’s Community Center’s jazz series kicks off the town’s monthlong . At 7:30 p.m., the show begins. General admission tickets cost $65.
Saturday, Oxford’s holiday festivities continue with the lighting of more than 80 trees at Campbell’s Boatyard, Cutts & Case Shipyard and throughout town.
Those looking for “An Island Christmas†on Saturday can visit Tilghman Island, where local watermen will lead the of a crab basket Christmas tree at 5 p.m. followed by a lighted boat parade at 6 p.m.
The festivities continue next weekend in St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½, where the annual event runs from Dec. 12-14. Families can enjoy a gingerbread house display, breakfast with Santa and a holiday marketplace during the weekend.
A parade on Talbot Street will be held Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m. Then at 6 p.m. that day, St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™ annual boat parade will light up the water.
