1. 2 flown to Shock Trauma after serious crash on Route 50 in Easton. Two men were flown to Shock Trauma on Wednesday afternoon following a serious three-vehicle accident on Route 50 in Easton, according to police.
2. Easton Planning Commission recommends against annexation near airport. The Planning Commission last week provided a negative recommendation on a proposal to annex 34 acres of land across from the Easton Airport on the east side of Route 50.
3. Montgomery criticizes Talbot Family Network; other Easton leaders push back. A Talbot Family Network presentation at a town meeting Monday drew criticism from Ward 3 Councilmember David Montgomery for what he said was “bias†and a lack of neutrality. Other council leaders, though, pushed back on his comments.

Timothy Fish, 37, of McDaniel, is charged with sexual solicitation of a minor after an undercover agent from Homeland Security Investigations posed as a 14-year-old girl in text conversations with the man, per court records.
6. Pedestrian in serious condition after being hit by vehicle in Cambridge. Wednesday around 6 a.m. the Cambridge Police Department received a call regarding a collision at the intersection of Gay and Poplar Street involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to police Capt. Shane Hinson, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The extent of the individual’s injuries is unknown.
7. Residents, rental agents pack Talbot County hearing on short-term rentals. Supporters and opponents of proposed legislation that would restrict short-term rentals in Talbot County re-litigated the merits of a controversial bill during a lengthy public hearing on Tuesday. A standing-room-only crowd delivered nearly an hour of testimony on the matter inside the Talbot County Council chambers. Rental agents, owners and companies slammed the bill as a “solution in search of a problem.†Homeowners in village neighborhoods said the rentals are tearing apart the fabric of communities and need more oversight.
8. Man sentenced to maximum 25 years for assault of woman in Easton. A man was sentenced late last month to a maximum 25 years after pleading guilty to the hourslong assault of his then-girlfriend at an Easton residence. Samuel Russ, 36, of Wicomico County, pleaded guilty in Talbot County Circuit Court on Nov. 21 to first-degree assault as well as two felony counts of intimidating a juror.
9. Hurlock woman pleads guilty to aggravated animal cruelty. A woman pleaded guilty on Monday to a felony count of animal cruelty following an incident in which animal control found a dog dead inside a Greensboro residence. Barbara Lemaire, 30, of Hurlock, entered the plea in Caroline County Circuit Court, forgoing a trial scheduled for Monday.
10. The Caroline County Commissioners have discussed the possibility of building a new detention center in Caroline County due to current issues with the Detention Center in Denton.
