The Commissioners of St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½ awarded the prestigious Citizen Recognition Award, presented on Dec. 11, to Roy Myers for his exemplary efforts in addressing the challenges posed by sea level rise.
Myers is a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and has been honored for his unwavering commitment and significant contributions in helping the community adapt to climate change and rising sea levels, the town said in a press release.
“Roy Myers, as chair of the Climate Change/Sea Level Rise Commission, has been a tireless advocate for our community, working relentlessly to raise awareness and implement practical solutions to address the growing threat of sea level rise,†said Al Mercier, St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½ commission president. “Through his dedication, Roy Myers has made a lasting impact on our efforts to safeguard the future of St. Âé¶¹´«Ã½. We are proud to recognize his leadership and vision.â€
