Department of Emergency Services and the Maryland State Police Aviation Command.
At approximately 1:57 p.m., Trooper 2 with the Aviation Command identified a possible sighting of the child sitting in tall grass behind a corn field near the home. Just minutes later, Aldo was located and confirmed safe by the sheriff's drone team and ground personnel.
Shortly thereafter, Aldo was reunited with his family.
"When a child goes missing, every second counts,†Queen Anne’s Sheriff Gary Hofmann said in a press release. “Our sole focus becomes finding that child and bringing them home safely. That’s why we do this work, to stand with every member of the community in their most difficult moments and to act with urgency, compassion and resolve. We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from the public, our partners, and all who assisted in the search. Thanks to those efforts, Aldo was safely reunited with his family. Queen Anne's County truly represents the best of what community means: taking care of one another, working together, and never giving up."
