Law enforcement will be front and center at the Talbot County Council's meeting on Tuesday, April 24, and three public hearings will be held on pending legislation. Talbot County Public Schools administrators will present a request by the Talbot County Board of Education for categorical budget transfers. Council meetings start at 6 p.m. in the Bradley Meeting Room, in the south wing of the Talbot County Courthouse, 11 N. Washington St., Easton.
The Talbot County Council will be meeting on Thursday, December 28, at 2 p.m. to consider emergency legislation allowing county residents to prepay their 2018 County real property taxes before the end of 2017. The legislation is in response to the recently enacted federal tax reform act and would only pertain to county real property taxes. The council will introduce the legislation, immediately hold a public hearing for public input and vote on the legislation. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Bradley Meeting Room in the South Wing, Courthouse, 11 North Washington Street, Easton.
