Winter's frigid temperatures couldn't dampen the holiday spirit across the Mid-Shore this weekend as thousands braved the cold to celebrate at annual Christmas parades in Easton and Cambridge.
Easton's parade was so popular it sold out and created a waitlist for participants. Floats, fire trucks and school bands entertained crowds along Harrison and Washington streets Saturday evening. Event organizer Holly DeKarske called it her "favorite community event," with judges awarding top honors to Midshore Veterinary Service, Shore FC and the Neighborhood Service Center.
Cambridge's 76th annual parade drew roughly 5,000 in-person spectators and attracted livestream viewers from as far as Florida and Michigan.
The "Surfing into Christmas" theme inspired creative floats along the parade's 2-mile route, with Snow Hill High School earning top marching band honors among nine competing bands.
Both events showcased community spirit and holiday traditions at their finest. Browse our photo galleries from each parade to experience the festive atmosphere yourself.
